People interested in temporary employment as Administrative Service Officers for roles such as: legal support; Paralegal’s or Executive Assistants are invited to make application to the ACTGS Temporary Employment Register for short term temporary or casual vacancies.
ACT Public Service terms and conditions apply to any employment and applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Citizenship – Applicants need to be an Australian Citizen, Australian Resident or hold an Authorised Temporary Working Visa.
- Security checks – All new employees to the ACT Government are required to undergo an Australian Federal Police criminal history check. The check assists the ACTGS in determining the suitability of applicants for employment.
- Previous employment check – The ACTGS may contact applicants’ past or present employers in order to obtain background information about their suitability for employment.
- Availability - It would be appreciated if applicants to the Register keep their availability current. If you are no longer available for employment please advise us via the contacts below.

Please note that receipt of your resume will not be acknowledged and all applications are retained for 4 months from receipt.
